Food and Drink

Villamartin and the surrounding area has arguably one of the best choice of restaurants on the whole of the Costa Blanca ;so wherever you choose to stay during your affordable golf holiday in the sun you'll be in easy reach of a whole host of great places to eat and drink.

Rioja is a small commercial centre with a good selection of bars and restaurants. The Gran China restaurant offers outstanding value for money. Order the menu del dia and for just €5.50 (about £3.80) you can get a starter, main course, rice or chips, beer/wine/soft drink, coffee/tea/ice cream.

We also recommend Sundowners which does good quality Tex Mex style food and Interim, a more expensive restaurant offering top class international cuisine.

Los Dolses is a very popular commercial centre offering a further choice of bars and restaurants. Our favourite restaurant here is the Run Toa, a beautiful Asian restaurant that serves Thai, Chinese and Japanese food.

The decor is very tasteful and the service is everything you would expect from a quality restaurant. Try the Thai green curry or the Cantonese style Sea bass, you won’t be disappointed.

Villamartin Plaza (pictured below) is the most established of the three commercial centres. Spread over three floors, the Plaza has a variety of restaurants offering a wide selection of British, Spanish, German, Chinese and Italian food.

There are also a number of lively bars to choose from which open late into the night.

If you fancy somewhere a bit more Spanish, the small town of San Miguel is within easy reach.

A couple of our places we recommend are Dona Isabel which offers a good mixture of Spanish and International cuisine as well as a Menu del Dia for just 11.50 euros during the week; and Restaurant Gala (sometimes called Gallant)on the Main Street of San Miguel which offers very reasonably priced international cuisine.

You'll also find great supermarkets nearby. The Mercadona, is just a five minute walk away from most of our properties. It has an excellent fresh fish and sea food counter and sells freshly baked bread and you won't believe the price of the wine, beer and spirits!
